Error establishing database connection (localhost-Xampp-windows)
I am using Windows 11 and xampp. xampp has MySQL on port 3307 (not the default port).
When I try to install WordPress, it returns the error "Error establishing database connection". phpMyAdmin
It's working fine. I can create databases and tables using phpMyAdmin.
I get the following error when installing worpress
Error establishing database connection
This means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect, or that you cannot establish contact with the database server on 127.0.0.1. This may mean that your host's database server is down.
Tried different ways of database hosting such as localhost, localhost:3307, 127.0.0.1, 127.0.0.1:3307
Updated hosts on xampp/phpmyadmin config.inc. Also updated ports on xampp/php/php.ini file and xampp/Mysql/bin/my.ini file.
Can anyone help me install WordPress using xampp with MySQL port 3306?
