Is it possible to create pages without hosting our domain (curious oddities.net). I would like to try to build a website as if I were coding it manually, but using wordpress as my code builder.

This is in preparation for working with a "live" site that has asked me to do maintenance for them. I'm very unfamiliar with the structure of wordpress, so I'm not sure if this is feasible.
