Use the WP API externally as an authenticated wp user using sso.

I want to develop a dedicated web application to get my wp data.
This application will use authenticated wordpress users.
How to authenticate a WP api request with a user without using their login and password?

I have read that it is possible to use
- Cookie for authentication, but it can only be used as a plugin or theme in WP.
- Basic authentication, but it requires a user password
- Oauth, but I'd like the user to have seamless access to the app without having to request permissions (since both apps come from the same organization)

Any tips or solutions?

thank you

You can use an application password. As the name suggests, it is designed to give the app privileged access to the API. The app will have all the functionality of the user whose password it uses. This can be any user, but is usually a user created for this purpose. This can give the app tremendous functionality, so careful consideration needs to be given to who can use the app and what it can do.
