How to Fix WordPress Theme Activation Anomaly Issues

WordPress themes are licensed for use through activation, a process that is automated and usually something you can easily do yourself. However, what should you do if you encounter problems with theme activation exceptions?

1、 Local (intranet) test can not be activated

Some customers like to test the theme on their own computer first, and then put it online when the website is ready. But because of the way our themes are licensed, it's not possible to activate the theme while testing it locally on your computer. To activate the theme, the website must be accessible on the Internet.

2、 Use the test domain name provided by the web hosting

WAN web hosting will provide a test domain name, but it can only be accessed after logging in with an FTP account and password. If we try to activate the theme directly with this test domain name, our server still can't complete the activation authorization.

3. Activation request blocked

This is because some of our customers have security software installed on their servers (e.g. CDNs) which screen and block some requests. We have found that servers using Security Dog may be blocked during activation. We recommend that you disable this type of security software first during the activation process. We will also work to resolve this issue.

4. Network problems

This is an uncommon but possible occurrence. We have noticed that some users' server networks are not stable enough, especially those located overseas, causing activation requests to time out easily. If you encounter this situation, we recommend trying a few more times.
