Beginner's guide to WordPress and Elementor website building from scratch

Elementor is a fantastic WordPress plugin that enables you to build beautiful custom pages without writing a single line of code. It provides a simple drag-and-drop interface and tons of design elements to help you quickly build professional-grade website pages.Elementor is divided into a free version and a Pro version: the free version covers all the basic features and elements; the Pro version provides more advanced options and a richer library of elements. Next, we will use this article to introduce newbies to how to build a website from scratch using Elementor.

1. Install Elementor

Installing Elementor is super easy, just go to the WordPress plugin repository and find the Elementor plugin and tap Install.

2. Configure Elementor

Once it's loaded, you'll need to do a bit of basic setup, such as picking the default fonts, colors, and appearance of the buttons.

3. Creating new pages

Elementor new page is very simple, just in the WordPress background click "New Page", and then select "Edit with Elementor Editor" on it.

4. Add elements

After you create the page and start editing with Elementor, you'll see Elementor's design interface, as shown here:

Elementor has a lot of ready-made design elements, such as headers, text, images, buttons, tables and progress bars. You can easily put these elements on your page by just dragging and dropping them with your mouse.

5、Adjust the element style

Elementor also has a number of style settings, such as changing fonts, colors, borders, and shadows. You can use these features to tweak the appearance of elements to make them fit your style better.

Different design elements have different options. For example, if we use the title element as an example, after switching to the "Style" tab, you can change the color of the text, in the "Typography" settings, you can also adjust the font, font size, line spacing and so on.

The Advanced Settings panel, which allows you to adjust the layout of this element, commonly adjusts the outer and inner spacing.

6. Preview and publish pages

When you design a page with Elementor, you can always preview how the page will look. Once the page is ready, you can publish it to your WordPress site.

Here's a tip: If you created your page according to this Elementor tutorial and then clicked the "Edit with Elementor" button, we recommend that you click "Save as Draft" first.

Then exit to the WordPress backend page after selecting the three horizontal bar button in the upper left corner.

Before creating the page, we clicked Edit with Elementor directly because we didn't change the title, so after returning to the page, we need to change the page title, change the URL, and then publish it.
