Shopee Expands Logistics Network in Brazil: Opens 10th Distribution Center to Improve Service Efficiency

Shopee recently made significant progress in its Brazilian operations by opening the country's tenth distribution center, further enhancing its logistics capabilities in the Latin American country. Located in the city of Colombia, this newly constructed logistics node utilizes a state-of-the-art cross-transit system to improve distribution efficiency. This is the first time Shopee has established a distribution facility in central Brazil, marking a geographic expansion of its service network.

This newest logistics center focuses on handling a range of high-demand products, including fishing equipment, ear protectors, drones, and radio communication equipment. This strategic placement allows Shopee to provide customers in Central and Western Brazil with faster and more reliable delivery services to meet their immediate needs.

Shopee is part of Singapore's Sea Group, which is the country's largest internet company.Since its entry into the Brazilian market in 2020, Shopee has grown rapidly to become one of the region's leading e-commerce platforms. Its success is partly attributed to its deep roots in the local market, and the platform has now attracted more than three million local sellers in Brazil, who contribute more than $90% in sales to Shopee.

To further strengthen its logistics network in Brazil, Shopee has established up to nine other distribution centers in the country, which are located in a number of states, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Bahia and Pernambuco. In addition to these distribution centers, Shopee has set up more than 100 facilities for first and last mile delivery throughout the country, further optimizing the delivery process.

To achieve full coverage throughout Brazil, Shopee has established relationships with over 20,000 logistics partners and drivers. Currently, Shopee has provided about 1,800 pickup and delivery points in Brazil, greatly facilitating the logistics needs of consumers and sellers.

This series of initiatives by Shopee not only strengthens its market position in Brazil, but also demonstrates its determination to continuously optimize and expand its logistics network to meet growing customer demand.
