It is a unique dashboard that provides a location to style the template.

It allows you to see changes in real time and lets you create coherent looks in seconds.

This is an excellent addition to Astra's already powerful customization capabilities!

Astra 4.8 also adds a number of improvements and fixes that make using it a breeze!

What's new in Astra 4.8

The Astra Style Guide is the headline feature of the 4.8 update, but there are many improvements and fixes.

Astra Style Guide

When updated, Astra 4.8 will introduce a customizer in theBrand new dashboard.

Select from WordPress DashboardAstra >customizable, you will see a new pencil icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

Clicking on this icon will reveal the newStyle GuideDashboard.

From here, try colors, fonts, buttons and icons all in one place.

• Change the style to immediately see how it works with other page elements
• Toggle colors and see how they work with buttons
• Toggle the headline font to see how it compares to the body text

It's a very simple idea that will change the way websites are designed!

Instead of making changes and reloading the page or flipping between elements to see how they look, you can see the real performance on the same screen.

As far as we know, no other WordPress theme has this game-changing feature!

Using the Astra Style Guide

Select a color in the middle and the global palette will appear on the left. After making a change, it is immediately reflected in the main Style Guide window.

From here you can select style presets or customize colors individually.

Whatever change is made, you will see it reflected in the main window in real time.

The same is true for typography.

Select Title or Body in the Style Guide window to access the relevant customization menu on the left.

Change the font and view its display in real time on the right side.

When changes are made, each instance of this font will be seen to change dynamically, so you canright nowSee how it looks.

Just like colors, choose from the font presets to change everything or change each font individually.

Either way, you will immediately see the changes occurring on the right side of the screen.

Select Change Individual Fonts and you will see the font family selector menu as usual.

The family, thickness and size of each font on the page can be changed here.

The Astra Style Guide also lets you preview variations of logos, site icons, and buttons so you can create a coherent look or brand an entire site at once.

It's a fast, effective way to design a website and can be easily branded, experimented with or customized!

The eagle-eyed among you may notice that not all customizations are included in the Astra Style Guide.

Wanted to make sure it was easy to use, which is why it only contains the most common customizations we make.

You'll find all the other customization options still present in the WordPress Customizer.

Other updates and improvements in Astra 4.8

The Astra 4.8 update brings a host of improvements to make life and work easier than ever.

Here's a list of improvements you can expect:

• Enhancements to block-based shopping cart and checkout styles.
• The header SVG logo now redirects to the home page.
• Added default top spacing for SureCart Shop headers.
• Improved smooth scrolling for deeply nested elements.
