WooCommerce is an open source e-commerce plugin designed specifically for WordPress. Can make our WordPress site to achieve the online shopping function; online shopping and involves the setting of the product, we go down together to see how the product should be set.

Product Setup

Product Settings is divided into several sections that can be accessed through the submenus below the Products tab, so let's take a look at what's included:

The following settings can be found in this menu:

store page

• store page: Select the default store page. It does not have to be the page named "Shop" from the WooCommerce installation, or it can be left unset if other methods are used to display products. If no store page is set, but a page named "Shop" exists, it will be used as the product profile.
• Add to cart behavior: Deciding on a customer clicking on "Add to cart"What happens after the button.
  • Redirect to shopping cart page after successful addition: Automatically take customers to the shopping cart page after adding a product.
  • Enable Ajax Add to Cart Button on Profile: Use AJAX to add items to the cart without reloading the page.
• placeholder image: Enter the Attachment ID or URL of the image to set it as the default placeholder image to be displayed on the frontend when no other image is available. This can be a brand logo or an image of an iconic product or service.WooCommerce is installed with a default placeholder image added to the site media library.

commentaries

• Enable product reviews: Check this box to activate product reviews.

• Display "Verified Owner" label on customer reviews: Check this box to see if the customer reviews displayed are from customers who have already purchased the product. 
• Only "verified owners" can comment.: Check this box if you want to restrict comments from everyone except the purchaser of the product. 

• Enable review star ratings:Check this box to enable review star ratings.
• Star ratings should be mandatory, not optional:Check this box to make the star rating a required field for leaving a review. 

inventory (of material)

Click on the "Inventory" link in the submenu at the top of the screen ( WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory) to access the store's inventory settings. Below are each of the settings you will find in this menu:

Managing inventory: Select whether or not to enable inventory management. If enabled, the following options are available:

• start usingInventory Management : Check this box to enable managed inventory counts for physical products. Simply enter the quantity and WooCommerce will subtract the number of products when a sale or order is returned.
• disabled(Unchecked checkbox): When inventory management is disabled, the inventory status of physical products can only be set to "In Stock", "Out of Stock" or "Backordered".
• Retained stock (minutes): Holds product (unpaid orders) for X minutes. When the limit entered is reached, the pending order will be canceled and inventory will be released back to available stock. Leave blank means disabled. Please note that this only applies to orders with a "Pending Payment" status, not to orders on "On Hold".
• Enabling low stock notifications: Check this checkbox to enable low inventory notification (email) to alert you when product inventory falls below the low inventory threshold.
• Enable out-of-stock notifications: Check this checkbox to enable out-of-stock notification (e-mail) to be alerted when a product is out of stock.
• Notify recipient: Enter the e-mail address to receive inventory notifications.
• Low inventory thresholds: Enter the quantity of stock that will trigger a low stock notification. If enabled, you will receive an email notification when product inventory reaches this quantity.
• Out-of-stock threshold: Inputs will trigger stock counts for out-of-stock status and out-of-stock notifications (if enabled).

The following two options are available even if Inventory Management is disabled:

• Out-of-stock visibility: Check this checkbox to hide out-of-stock items from the store catalog/customer view.
• Inventory display format: Choose how the number of products in stock is displayed from the following options, or choose not to display it:
  • Always show stock: "12 pieces in stock".
  • Display only when stock is low: only 2 pieces left in stock" and "In stock"
  • Never show quantity

Downloadable Products

In the "Downloadable products" setting (WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Downloadable Products) in which you can find the settings for how the store handles downloadable products. 

File Download Method : Controls how the store makes downloadable files available to purchasers. Available options are:

• mandatory download: The files are "forced" to download via a PHP script. No one other than the purchaser can access the file and the direct link is hidden.
• X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile: Similar to "Force" above, but with better performance and support for larger files. It requires your hosting provider to support X-Sendfile or X-Accel-Redirect, so you need to check with them first.
• redirect only:

Most stores should use one of the first two methods, to secure the file from external access. Redirection should only be used if you are experiencing problems or don't mind if the download is not secure.

access restrictionOptions include: Download URL Links the user to the file. The file is not protected from external access.

• Login required to download: Check this box to require customers to log in to download their purchases. Does not apply to guest purchases.
• Access to downloadable products is granted upon payment: Check this checkbox to grant access to downloads when an order is being processed rather than completed.

Filenames - add unique strings to filenames for added security: Check this checkbox to add extra randomness (security) to file names to prevent link sharing.

Approved Download Catalog

As of WooCommerce 6.5, you can set up an Approved Download Directory to store and serve downloadable files. Use theWooCommerce > Settings > Products > Approved Download Catalogssettings to help manage the storage of downloadable product files.

high level

These settings relate to how the store uses the Product Attribute Lookup Table feature. For most users, the default settings are fine and do not need to be changed.
